New 2014 Postage Rates In Effect

2014_Postage_Rate_CardLike daylight savings time, the roll-over of new rates from the Post Office is beginning to feel routine (and similarly unwelcome, like when we get that hour taken away from us). Yesterday the 2014 USPS rate increases went into effect for all market dominant classes of mail, including First-Class, Standard, Nonprofit, Periodicals, Special Services and Package Services.

One of the biggest changes with this rate increase is that the USPS is now offering a discount for retail letters (straight first-class) if you meter them vs stamp them – a $.01 discount or $.48 instead of $.49 for a 1 ounce letter. (Oh, and they put an undefined hold on Full-Service IMb implementation a la the PRC.)

Streamworks has put together a quick-reference rate card and a comprehensive rate guide for your reference. If you would like a physical copy of either (or both), just drop us a line and we’ll get it in the mail!
